Vallie Rogers Hoerning is a hometown girl from Mtn. Grove who has made a lasting impact on both her community and the field of physical therapy. A passionate sportswoman with an exceptional career in both athletics and healthcare, Vallie’s story is one of dedication, skill, and continuous commitment to excellence.

Vallie’s love for sports started early, and her journey led her to Southwest Baptist University (SBU), where she not only excelled academically but also shone on the basketball court. She was a standout player, being recognized as the 3-year Team Captain and earning All-Conference, All-Defensive Team, and Academic All-American honors in both 1991 and 1992. Her leadership, athleticism, and academic achievements made her a respected figure on and off the court.

Vallie graduated from SBU in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Her passion for helping others led her to begin working at Physical Therapy Specialists Clinic that very same summer. Vallie’s commitment to excellence was evident as she continuously sought to expand her knowledge and expertise. She earned her McKenzie Certification in 1998.  In 2000, Vallie went on to become a McKenzie Diplomat, a prestigious doctorate program focusing on the evaluation and treatment of spinal and extremity conditions. This further solidified her reputation as an outstanding therapist.

Over the course of her career, Vallie has been recognized on a state level for her exceptional patient care and dedication to excellence in physical therapy. Her ability to connect with patients, understand their needs, and provide the best treatment options has earned her respect from colleagues and clients alike. Her impact as a therapist is undeniable, and her work has helped countless individuals improve their quality of life.  Vallie is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and has her National Strength and Conditioning certification.

Vallie’s community involvement extends beyond her work as a therapist. She has served as a Development Board Member for Missouri State University – West Plains, the Community Foundation of the Ozarks – Mountain Grove branch, the Ozark Mountain Technical Center, and the Ozarks Family YMCA.

Vallie worked full-time at PTSC until 2016, she continues to contribute to the organization on a part-time basis, showing her unwavering commitment to the field. Now, as a proud mother, Vallie also supports her children in their own athletic endeavors, cheering them on as they follow in her footsteps and cultivate their love for sports.

Vallie Rogers Hoerning’s remarkable achievements in sports, academics, and physical therapy demonstrate her drive, passion, and commitment to both her personal and professional pursuits.
