Michia graduated from the master’s of athletic training program at Missouri State in May of 2023. Athletic training has been my career goal since junior high when I discovered the possibility of pursuing such a job. Not only do I get to serve and care for athletes, but I get to cheer for them and watch them succeed. As a former athlete, I understand the demands, pressures, and challenges of high school athletics. With those, injuries are inevitable; however, I believe that with proper care and prevention, the severity of injuries can be minimized. I feel so blessed with the opportunity to offer prevention and rehabilitation services to the athletes of these communities and it brings me joy to see them accomplish their goals.
I am recently married to the love of my life, Zach Keith. We enjoy working out, playing music, going to church, and spending time with our families. A newfound hobby of mine is baking! I guess becoming a wife will do that to you.
My faith is what has brought me here and it is what will continue to be my driving force. Without my relationship with God and His love for me, I would be good for nothing. From Him stems love, kindness, strength, joy, peace, and grace. As I fill the role of an athletic trainer, I strive to carry Christ-like traits and give praise to whom praise is due.
